This fun casino is named after Sir Francis Drake, who has very strong links with Plymouth, Devon, and neighbouring Cornwall.  Robbie and Liz who run the casino have lived in the West Country since 1969, firstly in Weymouth, Dorset, then moving to Yeovil, Somerset, and then down to Plymouth, with a brief spell in Falmouth.  They take the casino to Hotels, Holiday Camps and various venues all over the South West, from Bristol to Bath, Taunton to Exeter, not forgetting the English Riviera Torquay and down to Newquay, Penzance and Helston.

The equipment consists of Blackjack, Roulette, Casino Stud Poker and Speed Craps.  We have nine tables with access to 20 more.  The fun casino is ideally suited to all sorts of function such as James Bond theme nights, Casino Royale Nights and Team Building Events.  It is also ideal for Wedding functions, bringing together both sides of the family at the fun filled gaming tables.  Drake Casino has worked in numerous different types of venues, from Armed Forces Establishments, Summer and Christmas Balls, corporate openings for Seat, Jaguar, Volkeswagon etc. 

The croupiers are always dressed for the occasion in evening or cocktail wear.  They are professional, courteous and very helpful, teaching beginners the rudiments of the games.  We have found that everyone catches on very quickly and so an entertaining and amusing time is had by all.

Drake Fun Casino have been booked for numerous Charity evenings, where guests pay for the “fun money” (which is then classed as a donation to Charity) and then they can play for the prizes provided.  It is a great fund raiser, used by Rotary Clubs, Masonic Lodges, Round Tables, L.V.As, Lords Taverners, Lady Taverners, Cancer Research, Hospices, Heart Foundations, Chestnut Appeal etc.

American Roulette is the table generally associated with a casino.  It is a fast game and can play a lot of people around the table.

Blackjack is the most popular card game, based on Pontoon and can play up to 10 people on each table at a time.

Casino Stud Poker, or Caribbean Stud Poker, is also very popular, as can be seen by the many TV games and online games.  With this type of poker, the players play against the dealer, not each other and once again, a great time is had by all!
